Everyone knows looks shouldn’t matter, after all beauty is only skin deep.  Yet, perhaps, it’s time to say what we all secretly know, which is looks do matter, maybe even more than most of us think.

According to David M Buss, an evolutionary psychologist at the University of Texas, “physical appearance has gone up in importance for men and women about equally corresponding with the rise in television, fashion magazines, advertising and other media depictions of attractive models” For better or for worse, we now live in an age of appearances.  It looks like ‘looks’ are here to stay.
